Title: Galactic Amity
Characters/Pairings: "Stephen"/aliens, "Stephen"/Gorlock, "Stephen"/Jon, brief Lorraine
Rating: NC-17
Contents: Dubcon through noncon, teenage sex (in the first scene), xeno, oviposition, knotting, humiliation
Disclaimer: #NotIntendedToBeAFactualStatement. The Report characters and situatons aren't mine.

Aliens keep coming to Earth to have sex with Stephen. Bizarre, insistent, vigorous, embarrassingly stimulating sex.

...that's it. That's the fic.

For my [community profile] hc_bingo 2017 card, prompt "alien abduction." Title inspired by a James Tiptree story.

Tried to start writing this when TCR ended, but it didn't come together until just now.

Post-Report, "Stephen" is immortal. Snapshots of his relationship with Jon as The Daily Show ends too, and the years go by.

( "I have been busy! Running errands for Santa. Trying to launch a startup around the revolutionary concept of beard-based advertising, or 'beardvertising'. Handing out condoms at the drunken week-long bacchanal in Secret San Francisco after the whole thing with the gays and the marrying." )

Characters/Pairings: Cecil/Carlos, Jon/"Stephen", Ms. Frizzle, other crossover cameos
Rating: T
Contents (across the whole story); moderate sexual situations, canon-typical character death
Disclaimer: None of these series and/or people are mine.

Cecil brings Carlos as his date to a family reunion. He can't wait to catch up with his journalist cousin Stephen, and he's sure Carlos will get along great with his scientist aunt Valerie.

A coda to Silent (the AU where Jon is deaf), which I've been meaning to write ever since I finished the story proper. Jon and Stephen's first time. (And it only took them a decade of best friendship to get there.)

As before, ASL is in italics, voiced speech is in quotation marks. Mirrored on the AO3.

Characters/Pairings: Jon/"Stephen", Jimmy, Tucker, Olivia(/Kristen), cameos, OCs.
Rating: PG-13
Disclaimer: See series Table of Contents.

And we're back! With brand-new art of the band, from one of their newer and increasingly more suave photoshoots.

With their vacation over and their next album about to drop, the band is back to work, starting with a round of promotional events in New York City. You'd be surprised at how many ethical dilemmas can be packed into a couple of late-night talk show appearances (and one later-night raid on their suite's minibar).

Musical accompaniments: Stephen and Jimmy singing with Taylor Hicks; Stephen singing with Dolly Parton.

Jon's back from the Middle East!...and he came back wrong. As the embodiment of all that is American, it's up to Stephen to come to the rescue. The sexy, sexy rescue.

(On top of all the other innuendo in that clip, one of the things Stephen yells while behind the door actually is "Say you love me!" Ah, romance.)

Mirror on the AO3.

Characters/Pairings: Jon/"Stephen", family, Anthony, Killer, others
Rating: PG-13
Disclaimer: See series Table of Contents.

A Jon-centric interlude for the teen-pop-star AU.

Our heroes take a break from the fast-paced chaos of their careers to go on vacation. While Stephen and Jimmy take off for New Zealand, Jon's finally getting a trip back to his native New Jersey. But after more than a year away from home and family, he's not going to fit right back in as easily as he expects...

(As ever, the characterization of Jon's family is 100% fanon.)

Title: Boys (and Girls) of Summer

For [community profile] queer_fest, prompt: Any fandom, any character, Being queer and mentally ill, and knowing the difference between the two. "Stephen" is (enthusiastically) functionally bi when he's manic, and has no sex drive at all when he's depressed. His wife and his best friend try to manage him through his moods, and everyone (even Stephen himself) is mostly guessing as to where his genuine attractions fall.

(I was all set to post this on time, thought I only had a few more paragraphs to write, and then I opened the file and it doubled in length on me. Oops.)

D/sverse, high school/college AU. Stephen's family doesn't believe in sending uncollared submissives to college, so Jon offers to collar him, at least through graduation. Cue a year of awkward deception, GSA shenanigans, platonic bed-sharing, one threatening incident with a certain pushy senior, and the triumph of the power of unrecognized romantic attraction friendship.

One of the shorter entries for my [community profile] longfic_bingo card, prompt "collar" or "pretend relationship". (This is Stephen's collar, by the way [source].)

**Note: I'm posting this in parts on the AO3, and will probably post the whole thing all in one entry on DW at the end. Sound good? Or are there people who would rather read in parts on DW? Let me know!

Stephen finally finds a way to let his Daily Show explode into its full potential. The only question is whether he can bring Jon along with him. And how much longer it's going to take him to invite Jon to make out, already.

With the defining themes of the Bush administration becoming clear, the odd-couple symbiosis that drives The Daily Show with Stephen Colbert hits rocky ground. Oh, and the building is haunted. Because evidently our heroes can't catch a break.

Alternate universe. In 1998, the staff of The Daily Show (including star correspondent Stephen Colbert) gets a new addition: deaf writer Jon Stewart. Cue an otherwise familiar blend of jokes, politics, a young series finding its feet, and a long-term intimate relationship starting to bloom.

For purposes of this story, ASL will be indicated by italics, spoken English by quotation marks, and typed English by being set off in various ways. There's a lot of cross-language communication in here, and it should be easier to follow if it's instantly apparent which lines can be understood by which subset of characters. Relevant to this fic: a cat cuddling with baby hedgehogs. And as some of you noticed, Stephen's Sentinel/Guide not-romance novels are straight out of early Sentinel fandom (yes, even the "gen" French kissing).
