Needs Met, page 05

Title: Needs Met, page 05
Rating: PG (post-coital cuddling)
Warnings (highlight for spoilers): consent issues; (skip) Sweetness
Characters/Pairings: "Stephen"/Jon, l!"Stephen"/Jon, l!"Stephen"/"Stephen"
Disclaimer: This is a work of parody. Although reference is made to real persons, the dialogue, actions, and content are products of the artist's imagination only.

Note that, while this is the morning after, there was sex under false pretenses in between. YMMV (there's some discussion of the subtleties in the comments to the last page), but dub-con at best.

Needverse!Stephen is not allowed in the kitchen due to having the attention span of a mayfly. Neededverse!Stephen, meanwhile, is an excellent cook...and too tolerant for his own good.

Also here on DA, with links to the rest.

*flails*

AUGH STEPHEN THE GUN SEEMS A BIT MUCH BUT OK.

[identity profile] seagullsong.livejournal.com 2009-11-09 06:56 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah, I got it, but it still hurts. D:

One thing is bugging me though; since they were already switching sexual partners like square dancers, why didn't the Jons just ASK?

[identity profile] jmie.livejournal.com 2009-11-09 05:59 pm (UTC)(link)
"AUGH STEPHEN THE GUN SEEMS A BIT MUCH BUT OK."

But it certainly lightened me up before my interview. XD Don't worry, maybe it's uhm... a reactionary test? Maybe c!Stephen's Jon would react to Sweetness in a certain way, as opposed to someone else, and that's just the most up-front way c!Stephen can think to ask, considering his personality.

I have to hand it to Stephen, though, not many people would have incentive to lie with a gun pointed at the back of their neck. Maybe, it's a, "If you're man enough to do me, you're man enough to answer me truthfully sort of thing?"

That being said, I'm really digging the other Stephen's green robe and his convoluted way of trying not to offend Jon. I was going to say that I was waiting for the other shoe to drop, for c!Stephen to put down his gun (eventually) and think this through, but I don't think the first one has. We're barely at the admission stage.

Yay, comic and however else this all goes down! :D

It all makes perfect sense. Comic and free analysis, whoo!

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHAhahahahaha! (that is pretty much the combination scream and burst of nervous giggles that ensued when I saw the gun) ::sighs:: the Jons should really know better than to mess with their already delicate Stephens.

I love the contrast in their reactions. Perfectly them.

(Personally, in this rare instance, I am much closer to c!Stephen's end of the spectrum.)

[identity profile] nelleellen.livejournal.com 2009-11-09 09:12 pm (UTC)(link)
Hmpf. Personally, I *should* be closer to c!Stephen's reaction. In reality, I'm a l!Stephen. As my dear boss tells me...I lead with my jugular, then I'm surprised when my throat gets slit. :)

Heh, well, I have respect issues. It's the number one thing I look for in any kind of relationship. Doing something like this violates it so many times over that I would be absolutely livid. Especially when they could've just asked!

[identity profile] nelleellen.livejournal.com 2009-11-09 09:23 pm (UTC)(link)
Indeed...hence my comment about where I should be versus where I actually usually am. At least now, I'm aware of it.

STEPHEN, PUT HER AWAY D:

[identity profile] kahvi.livejournal.com 2009-11-09 10:28 pm (UTC)(link)
I've been following this on DA, and I love it!

I'm looking at the comments here, and I suddenly feel terribly guilty for the fact that this all makes me giggle, and think of "The Parent Trap." But, y'know, for grown ups.

I saw it coming *crosses arms and glares* you brought it on yourselves, Jons.

(Stephen? Put the gun down, honey...)

/utterly redundant comment. PS I love you :D

Holy fuck!! Wow...it is not turning out well for that other Jon...yikes. Needverse!Stephen is cool with stuff but, wow..."Stephen" ain't! Can't wait to see more of this, I love it! =D

[identity profile] wishflower4.livejournal.com 2009-11-10 02:36 am (UTC)(link)
Y'know, really, I'm not one to say someone deserves something like a gun to the back of their head, but dear God, what did they think was going to happen?!

[identity profile] punkishgrin.livejournal.com 2009-11-10 08:09 am (UTC)(link)
I love the coloring in this strip. It's so beautiful--the greens, reds and salmons, the light catching on everything. The eagle headboard. And, oh, pretty dreamcatcher! What does that reference, I wonder?

And, ha, I wondered how the discovery would come about:) I know this is wrong, but Stephen holding Sweetness up to Jon's head could almost be seen as a litmus test. What if c!Stephen's Jon had insisted Stephen keep her unloaded, and therefore only an impostor would fear for his life. Or something.

"Neededverse." I love it. And "chu!"

[identity profile] punkishgrin.livejournal.com 2009-11-10 03:44 pm (UTC)(link)
They're distinct and yet complementary. A nice and reflective visual theme if you ask me!

Every time I see dreamcatchers (or puppy slippers) I think of George:)

Right, Stephen doesn't have much respect for a gun's power, even though he insists that this one in particular is his special lady. Why not use firearms for empirical data?

[identity profile] inspirine.livejournal.com 2009-11-10 08:30 am (UTC)(link)
While I don't advocate Stephen pointing a loaded gun at Jon, certainly wouldn't mind if he knocked him with it, giving him a really bad headache. I'm another one with respect issues. Also view this as trust violation, personally.

Having said that, I'm still enjoying this story. Liked the eagle on the headboard.

[identity profile] gaiafaye.livejournal.com 2009-11-10 10:26 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah, I definitely laughed at the end. (But I'm sure Jon won't die so I don't feel too awkward about it.)
